Mindfulness based training solutions for businesses and organizations

The present moment as a research lab

Now-To-Now refers to the power of the present moment. This is the ground of all Mindfulness practices - meditation and others. We can describe mindfulness as "Present Moment Therapy".

The origins of these practices are very ancient and go back all the way to the historical Buddha, some 2,600 years ago.

Practicing mindfulness is like entering a special kind of research lab. The Mind Lab. In this lab we are both the researchers as well as the subjects of that research. The field of research is our own momentary mind-body experience.

Cultivating calm, focus and awareness

First we learn to be more calm and focused  and then to direct our attention towards our personal experience of mind and body in a non-judgmental way. It is a way of looking that is clear, lacks any expectations, non-analytical, and free of any intention to change or improve what we encounter. Just the experience as it is, moment by moment.

The result of this thorough observation is a better understanding of ourselves, our inner forces and patterns. All this leads to: brain structural changes, stress reduction, higher emotional intelligence, better cognitive and creative skills, and a better capacity for empathy, listening  and generosity. In other words - it makes us happier as well as the people around us.

Mindfulness practice makes us happier and more successful
